Business Solution Department (K. S.)

Please tell us about your work.
I work in the Solution Team within the Business Solution Department, where I handle everything from proposing solutions to installing and maintaining low-voltage equipment.
We begin by listening carefully to the client's requirements. Based on the facility's CAD drawings, we create what is known as a plot drawing, which shows the layout of IoT device terminals and cabling. At the same time, we select appropriate equipment and perform initial configurations and operational testing.
Once planning is complete, we move on to on-site work, where we install the devices and run the cabling. We then conduct a comprehensive system test and hold an operational briefing for the client.
In addition, we handle individual client inquiries and provide support for troubleshooting and any issues related to the installed device.
Please tell us how you joined the company and your impressions of working at THT.
In my previous job, I worked as a lecturer and administrator at a cram school.
Due to the working conditions at the time, combined with a vague admiration for and curiosity about the IT industry, I decided to pursue a career change.
I discovered THT through a job search website. What catch my attention were the photos of employees posted on the site. They gave me the impression of a bright and friendly company atmosphere, which led me to apply.
Since I was used to working independently in my previous job, I had imagined that office life would be quiet and subdued. But at THT, the office is almost never silent. The people here are warm, approachable, and open to conversation, which made it easy for me to settle in.
Before joining, I had the typical image of IT work as simply "working with computers." But in reality, my job includes drawing technical diagrams, handling hardware, and even doing on-site installation work. At first, I thought "This feels like being a jack-of-all-trades." Now, I understand that all of this is part of what we call "IT infrastructure construction."
What changes have you noticed through your work at THT?
1. Developing the ability to seek advice
I was not the type of person who naturally asked questions, and in my previous job, I often had to face challenges on my own.
But in my current role, gaining deeper technical knowledge is essential, and I frequently find myself in situations where I have to ask questions in order to move forward.
Fortunately, THT has many experienced colleagues with deep expertise across various fields, and consulting with them often leads to smooth and efficient solutions.
Through these experiences, I have also learned how to organize my thoughts and information before asking questions. In high-pressure situations like troubleshooting or on-site issues, it's easy to feel flustered. So I make a point of writing down what I want to confirm beforehand to clear my mind and prepare effectively.
2. Making better use of free time
Compared to my previous job, I now have less overtime and more free time, which has made me more mindful of how to use that time meaningfully. Since I am someone who thrives when working toward a clear goal, like preparing for an exam. I've decided to take advantage of THT's certification support programs and pursue qualifications in electrical work and networking.
I've also developed a habit of noticing things I used to overlook, like the wiring behind hotel TVs, access panels in commercial buildings, or the layout of low-voltage systems.
I have even caught myself staring up at the ceiling while walking through facilities.
These real-world observations have become great learning opportunities that directly support my work in the field.
3. Pay attention to physical health and stamina
Traveling long distances to remote construction sites can be physically demanding. To stay sharp and focused until the end of each assignment, I've become more conscious of maintaining both my physical condition and stamina.
At what moments do you find your work interesting and rewarding?
One of the most unique aspects of working in the Solution Team is being involved in the entire process from initial client consultations to design and on-site installation.
For me, one of the most fascinating moments is during device setup and testing, when I discover which configurations produce the desired behavior. It's not something clients usually see, but as someone who joined the company with no prior experience, these moments are both educational and deeply satisfying.
As for when I feel the most rewarded, it's usually during on-site work.
At construction sites, we often have to manage a large number of cables connected to various devices. I take the most pride in organizing them neatly not just the visible ones, but also those hidden behind devices or in hard-to-reach spots. It's in those moments of attention to detail that I find real fulfillment.
Another unique part of the job is that our projects take us across the country from Hokkaido to Kyushu. After a successful installation, enjoying a cold beer and local food with the team is definitely a highlight and a great motivator.
That said, since we often travel by car, we have a saying on the team "The job isn't finished until we've returned the rental car." It's our way of reminding ourselves to stay alert and responsible, even after the work is done. That ongoing sense of professionalism even in moments of temptation is another part of what makes this work rewarding.

Please tell us about your future goals.
My goal is to become someone who can be trusted to handle projects of any size with confidence.
To achieve that, I aim to deepen my expertise and technical skills so I can provide clients with the best possible system solutions as a true professional.
Believe it or not, I once scored zero on a technology test back in junior high school.
I used to have a strong aversion to anything related to technical drawings.
But that changed when I joined THT and worked on my very first project, where I proposed a circuit using an electric lock. It was the first time I found the work fun and it became a major turning point in my life.
THT plans to continue expanding its product offerings, including in-house solutions. I want to keep learning and growing alongside the company so that I'm always ready to bring valuable ideas and innovations to our clients.
Please share a message for future colleagues!
At THT, you'll find an environment where you're encouraged to take on new challenges, speak up freely, and support one another as a team. It's a place where anyone can grow regardless of their prior experience. Let's work together to make the company even better.
