Please tell us about your work.

I work on the Solution Team within the Business Solution Department, where I'm responsible for the entire process, from proposing solutions to installing and maintaining low-voltage equipment.

We begin by carefully listening to our clients' requirements. Based on the facility's CAD drawings, we create what is known as a plot drawing that outlines the placement of IoT device terminals and cabling. At the same time, we select the appropriate equipment and perform initial configurations and operational testing.

Once the planning phase is complete, we move on to on-site work, which includes installing the devices and running the cabling. After installation, we conduct comprehensive system testing and provide an operational briefing for the client.

In addition, we respond to individual client inquiries and provide troubleshooting supporting for any issues related to the installed devices.

Please tell us how you joined the company and your impressions of working at THT.

In my previous job, I worked as both a lecturer and an administrator at a cram school.

Due to the working conditions at the time, along with a general curiosity and admiration for the IT industry, I decided to pursue a career change.

I discovered THT through a job search website. What caught my attention were the photos of employees featured on the site. They conveyed a bright and friendly company atmosphere, which encouraged me to apply.

Because I was accustomed to working independently in my previous job, I had imagined office life would be quiet and subdued. However, at THT, the office is rarely silent. The people here are warm, approachable, and open to conversation, which helped me settle in quickly.

Before joining the company, I had the typical image of IT work as simply "working with computers." In reality, However, my role involves creating technical drawings, handling hardware, and even performing on-site installation work. At first, I thought, "This feels like being a jack-of-all-trades." Now, I understand that all of this is an essential part of what we call IT infrastructure construction.

What changes have you noticed through your work at THT?

1. Developing the ability to seek advice

I was not the type of person who naturally asked questions, and in my previous job, I often had to face challenges on my own.

But in my current role, gaining deeper technical knowledge is essential, and I frequently find myself in situations where I have to ask questions in order to move forward.

Fortunately, THT has many experienced colleagues with deep expertise across various fields, and consulting with them often leads to smooth and efficient solutions.

Through these experiences, I have also learned how to organize my thoughts and information before asking questions. In high-pressure situations like troubleshooting or on-site issues, it's easy to feel flustered. So I make a point of writing down what I want to confirm beforehand to clear my mind and prepare effectively.

2. Making better use of free time

Compared to my previous job, I now have less overtime and more free time, which has made me more conscious of using that time meaningfully. Since I am someone who thrives when working toward a clear goal, such as preparing for an exam. I decided to take advantage of THT's certification support programs and pursue qualifications in electrical work and networking.

I've also developed a habit of noticing things I used to overlook, such as the wiring behind hotel TVs, access panels in commercial buildings, and the layout of low-voltage systems.

I have even caught myself looking up at the ceilings while walking through facilities.

These real-world observations have become valuable learning opportunities that directly support my work in the field.

3. Pay attention to physical health and stamina

Traveling long distances to remote construction sites can be physically demanding. To stay sharp and focused through the end of each assignment, I've become more mindful of maintaining both my physical condition and stamina.

At what moments do you find your work interesting and rewarding?

One of the most unique aspects of working in the Solution Team is being involved in the entire process, from initial client consultations to design and on-site installation.

For me, one of the most fascinating moments is during device setup and testing, when I discover which configurations produce the desired behavior. There are moments clients rarely see, but as someone who joined the company with no prior experience, they are both educational and deeply satisfying.

As for when I feel the greatest sense of reward, it's often during on-site work.

At construction sites, we frequently manage a large number of cables connected to various devices. I take particular pride in organizing them neatly, not only the visible ones, but also those hidden behind devices or in hard-to-reach areas. It's in this attention to detail that I find true fulfillment.

Another unique aspect of the job is that our projects take us all over the country, from Hokkaido to Kyushu. After a successful installation, enjoying local food and a cold beer with the team is definitely a highlight and a strong motivator.

That said, since we often travel by car, we have a saying within the team "The job isn't finished until the rental car is returned." It's a reminder to stay alert and responsible, even after the work itself is done. That ongoing sense of professionalism, even in moments of temptation is another reason I find this work so rewarding.

Please tell us about your future goals.

My goal is to become someone who can be trusted to handle projects of any size with confidence.

To achieve that, I aim to deepen my expertise and technical skills so I can provide clients with the best possible system solutions as a true professional.

Believe it or not, I once scored zero on a technology test back in junior high school.

I used to have a strong aversion to anything related to technical drawings.

But that changed after I joined THT and worked on my very first project, where I proposed a circuit using an electric lock. It was the first time I truly found this kind of work enjoyable, and it became a major turning point in my life.

As THT continues to expand its product offerings, including in-house solutions, I want to keep learning and growing alongside the company. My aim is to always be ready to bring valuable ideas and innovations to our clients.

Please share a message for future colleagues!

At THT, you'll find an environment that encourages you to take on new challenges, speak up freely, and support one another as a team. It's a place where anyone can grow, regardless of prior experience. I look forward to working together to help make the company even stronger.
