Please tell me about your career background.

Before joining THT, I spent about 10 years working for a telecommunications construction company. The job was physically demanding I often climbed utility poles and installed fiber optic cables in underground manholes.

Just as I was looking to broaden my career horizons, I was approached by CEO Suzuki, even before the official founding of THT. That encounter led me to make the decision to join the company.

For the first 10 years at THT, I was assigned to a major energy company, where I was responsible for operating their call center's telephone reception system.

What kind of work are you currently responsible for?

After 10 years in a dispatch role, I made a fresh start in April 2024 by returning to work in-house at our headquarters.

I've been involved in launching our company's newly established support center (T-ASC), which opened in April 2023. I'm responsible for the full process from designing and building our phone system to its operation and maintenance.

Specifically, I focus on our in-house cloud PBX system. My role involves investigating what features and services it offers, testing how to ensure they operate properly and efficiently, and compiling that information into clear, easy-to-understand documentation.

Previously, I was primarily involved in system operation at client sites. This is my first experience building a system from the ground up, and even after a year, the work still feels fresh and exciting.

Is there anything you pay special attention to when creating documentation?

Yes, when creating materials, I always follow a three-step process:

  1. Working draft for personal use

First, I visualize the system by drawing configuration or concept diagrams and writing out the process in sequential text.

This helps me identify any oversights or misunderstandings that I might have missed if I had kept everything in my head.

  2. Internal review materials

Next, I share the draft with my team to refine the content through discussion.

Incorporating third-party perspectives helps clarify issues and uncover areas for improvement.

  3. Client-facing documentation

Finally, I translate technical term into plain language so that even those unfamiliar with the system can easily understand.

Even if the document starts as a personal reference, I always aim to bring it to a level suitable for explaining to both internal stakeholders and clients.

What do you find valuable about working at THT?

One of the most appealing aspects of THT is the "high degree of autonomy."

When I was working on assignment, my tasks were clearly defined, and my role was to execute them reliably. Now that I am working in-house, I am trusted to take the lead from developing ideas and proposals to bringing them to life.

This shift felt almost like starting a new job altogether.

There are many moments when, while testing systems, I go through trial and error to find ways to make them more user-friendly.

It may take a bit of extra time, but I find it incredibly rewarding when the outcome exceeds user expectations. Even if things don't always go perfectly, the lessons learned become part of our knowledge base, so no effort is ever wasted.

THT has also continued to grow steadily over the past 10 years, but what makes it unique is the flat, approachable culture. We have close access to the leadership team, and I can share ideas directly with the CEO in an open and informal way. It creates an environment where it's easy to speak up and be heard. That said, I try not to take that openness for granted.

What are your expectations for the company moving forward?

I'd like to see us accelerate our adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as integrating solutions through APIs and implementing AI capabilities.

To achieve this, it's essential that we stay up to date and continually refresh our knowledge. I would love to see more team members who are genuinely passionate about technology and constantly asking themselves, "Is there a better way to do this?"

As for the type of person well-suited to this work including myself, I think those who are naturally cautious tend to thrive. People who don't take their own judgments for granted, who pay close attention to the details, and who are open to different perspectives are likely to grow significantly in this environment.

Please leave a message for us!

THT continues to grow at an incredible pace.

In the early days, we did not even have an office, and our CEO managed everything himself, including accounting. Today, we work in a well-equipped environment alongside colleagues with a wide range of skills and experiences. Our business domains have expanded, and the organization as a whole has become even stronger.

After many years working on-site at a client company, I now work at our headquarters. There is still so much to learn, not just in terms of knowledge and skills, but also in understanding the depth of expertise that comes from different roles and perspectives. I'm confident that the experience and work style I've developed in a variety of environments will continue to serve as a solid foundation for my future career.
